Chicken of the Woods Mushroom Log Kit

Chicken of the Woods Mushroom Log Kit

  (3 Reviews)

A large firm mushroom with a texture and taste of chicken, and its vegetarian. Fruits in twelve to twenty four months, with crops in Summer  & early Autumn.

The ideal start kit if you can get your own freshly cut logs. These kits give you enough spawn plugs to inoculate your own 2ft to 3ft long, by 4in to 6in diameter, freshly cut log. It'll crop between two to three times a year, possibly more. The kits come packed in a fair trade jute bag, and contains a packet of 30 spawn plugs, an easy to follow set of instructions and a correct size of drill. Buy multiple plugs, for bigger logs!

Love this gift! Perfect for my husband who loves mushrooms and - conveniently - has lots of spare logs in the woodshed. Can't wait to taste the mushrooms.
