These wonderful coil baskets are hand made by a collective of craftswomen in India. The bags are naturally dyed, hand spun and woven using natural fibres including jute, cotton and goat leather. Ideal for storing bathroom bits, toys, kindling and logs. The baskets are rigid and free standing. The seagrass used on these baskets is sustainably sourced from Vietnam.

This makes it perfect for creating strong, durable products. These eco storage baskets are handspun by small ethical cooperatives throughout India, and finished with leather.
Nkuku was founded after a year travelling and working by its owners in Africa and India, meeting artisans, and witnessing the astounding skills but challenging living standards and restricted opportunities. Their objective became to promote and develop the traditional skills of these artisans and bring their work to the UK market through eco-friendly businesses. Whilst promoting fair trade and establishing a business that could provide a lifestyle change for our family and an income for ourselves.
