The Packaging

Our packaging has your products safety at the forefront of its design - closely followed by the environment. Our goods are shipped in sturdy cardboard boxes - fragile items are packed full with either bubble wrap re-used from suppliers, biodegradable 'green' bubble wrap which we purchase or 100% biodegradable tissue paper (And incase you didn't know, normal tissue paper isn't biodegradable!). Lovingly wrapped, to ensure it gets to you in one piece. We hope you will be able to re-use all of our packaging too!

Faulty & Damaged Goods (incl. Glass and Mirrors)

Some of our favourite products are fragile - We don't want that to put you off buying them.

We wouldn't have them for sale if we wern't confident in getting them delivered safely to your door. If, in the unlikely event your goods, including any glass or mirror products are damaged in transit, we'll replace them for you. Some larger, fragile items will be shipped by courier for added security. In the unlikely event your purchase arrives damaged, you must contact us within 48 hours of receipt. We will also require photographs of the damage before replacements can be issued for obvious reasons. Rest assured, if theres a problem, we'll resolve it. Thats our promise to you, the buyer.

Why am I Eco?

To create our bags we work with two brothers in India called Pinu and Manish who we visit every year. Pinu and Manish.

Our Carnival Collection is made from recycled leather that has been wasted by factories within a 140km radius of where the bags are made. If not collected, this leather would otherwise be wasted. The cotton lining is also from factory dead stock.

For The Forest Collection the leather comes from abattoirs where the animals have come from small scale and community farming. These bags do not use any chemical tanning as this process has drastic effects on local water supplies and workers health. Our bags are tanned in sunlight and oiled with vegetable oils.

We have 60 families (thirty women and fifty seven men) producing the bags for us. They live in small communities in a 60km radius of the brothers home. Many of the tailors are ex shoe makers that lost their jobs in the trade shift to China. All tailors are paid a fair commission, with living wage realistically achievable within normal working hours. All tailors work from home and have complete working flexibility. Flexible work is great for our tailors as it means they can work around other commitments such as university and parenting. We do not use any child, elderly or forced labour.

Introducing...

What Daisy Did.

Having spent several years working festivals across the UK, Daisy & Ozric were horrified by the amount of post show waste created, which ultimately ends up in landfill. Whilst travelling one Winter they met brothers Pinu & Manish in India, who helps them make bags out of recycled materials - they help with the sourcing and manufacturing of their products. So incase you are still wondering What Daisy Did, she created a range of beautiful bags made from scrap bits of material.
